an alternative reading

Several years ago I was playing a text adventure game, n when I got bored and stuck, I ended up inside the program looking for answers; and I found the footnotes. 

Footnote 16 read;- 'This footnote is only here for people who read footnotes.' 

So, in case there's anyone else out there like me.
